Hi everyone!
This picture was inspired by a video that I watched online on dealing with sour relationships and maintaining healthy ones. By relationships, I refer to relationships
in general. i.e. Family, friends, and romantic relationships.
This video was of a guy who was inspired to use the analogy of keys
to describe relationships. He described of keys as being individually different, with each having their own purpose of opening a lock
or door
.
Everyone has their own bunch of keys. And each key corresponds to a person who had trusted them with the keys. Unknowingly, you probably have recevied keys from the loved ones around you without you even knowing. They probably never said to you, “Here’s my key, take it.” But everyone has a bunch.
With the keys we have accumulated from different people we have been attached to, then it begs the question: What do we do with these keys? We must first recognise the power we have with these keys. These keys that we hold have the power to influence, add value, and even to give the ultimate gift of grace to those that we have wronged. We can choose forgive others and ask for forgiveness from others.
You may have accumulated emotional baggage over the many years of spoiled and wrecked relationships. You may or may not have been the cause for it. However, with the bunch of keys you have, you now have the power to change, to influence, and to let go.
Now then, what will you do with your keys? To bless others? To forgive others? To show mercy to others? Let’s continue to choose to do good while we can. But let’s not just chase and accumulate good like the rest. We do it because we are set free. Today, you are free to make the decision to love, because you, my friend are always loved :)
Love,
Justin
